We are very excited to share that between the various recent fundraisers that we have done, the Mom Squad has met and surpassed our fundraising goal for filing the nonprofit paperwork! Thank you everyone who has supported us and continues to support!

So what happens now?

We are excited to finish filing our paperwork for nonprofit status and we are building our budget and events calendar for 2024/2025. All money that has been made and continues to come in will go towards craft events, service projects, snacks for socials, event space rentals for special events, Mom Squad branded items so we can easily find each other at events, and more! We hope to get to a point where we can do drives and giveaways when there are needs in the community.

Reminder: All admins and board members are unpaid volunteers. No one is making money off of the Mom Squad.

We have some BIG NEWS to announce. For the past few months, many of our admins have been working behind the scenes on registering the Mom Squad Community as a non-profit.

The Mom Squad of Fredericksburg is committed to building a tight-knit community of mothers united by support, friendship, and shared experiences. Our mission is to create a safe space where mothers can connect, learn, and grow together, while championing the well-being and development of our children through collective efforts and resourceful initiatives.

We have officially applied to be registered as a non-profit in the state of Virginia. The Mom Squad is run by a team of mothers that are dedicated to helping this community thrive. We will make an announcement introducing the Board of The Mom Squad Community.

Coming soon we will have a variety of fundraisers to help us raise funds to pay for the remaining paperwork that needs to be filed and to help support community events for moms! We will continue to offer low/no cost playdates and drives to support our community.

We are so appreciative of all of your support and we would not be able to support and grow this community without you! If you are interested in helping us out, we are always looking for people to host playdates, plan events, or moderate the Facebook page.
